Margie Jensen passed away at 11:28 PM on October 8, 2024. She died peacefully in her sleep and is now reunited with her husband Wendell, son Lonny, and granddaughter Lindsay. Those simple words cannot convey the magnitude of a person’s life and what she has meant to everyone she has touched.
While I am not technically her child, she has been my mother for longer than my own mother lived. Society jokes about mother-in-laws but I found Margie the most gracious, loving, and caring person I knew and I was blessed to be fortunate enough to marry into her family.
Margie was born on December 7, 1928 to Thomas and Genevieve Baker. She was the third of eight children. The family lived in Teton Idaho where Grandpa Baker farmed. Although all of the siblings are close and have remained so throughout their lives, Margie was especially close to her two older sisters – Lucille and Helen. These three were the three musketeers and were always together. In fact, they were so close that on more than one occasion they dated the same boy. Helen would end up marrying her husband Clyde who had been dating Margie.
