I have been fortunate to have many great mentors who helped to guide me through my professional career. Some provided technical guidance while others gave sage advice for seeing the big picture and putting myself in situations where I could be successful. In this section you will find a list of accomplishments, chronology of events, and a brief discussion of my skill sets.

Personal

Personal

I've been told that I am a difficult person to get to know, although I never thought that of myself. I am a complex person who is comfortable in the unknown and I always challenge myself to expand my knowledge and in turn my personality. In this section you will find clues as to who I am as a person and gain a brief understanding of the experiences I have had personally.

Interests

I'm a collector. Sometimes I collect things, sometimes I collect experiences, and sometimes I collect knowledge. From an early age I have had many different interests and hobbies. I am by nature curious and therefore am always seeking out something new and interesting. Some of these are fleeting while others have stayed with me my entire life. This section will give you an insight into what interests me.

In high school I became interested in photography. It is a way for me to express myself artistically and provides a good balance of technology and art to keep both hemispheres of my brain active. Throughout my life I have taken literally thousands of photos. Some have artistic value while others describe a point in time within my life. This section acts as a viewport of my life through pictures.

Margie Jensen passed away at 11:28 PM on October 8, 2024. She died peacefully in her sleep and is now reunited with her husband Wendell, son Lonny, and granddaughter Lindsay. Those simple words cannot convey the magnitude of a person’s life and what she has meant to everyone she has touched.

While I am not technically her child, she has been my mother for longer than my own mother lived. Society jokes about mother-in-laws but I found Margie the most gracious, loving, and caring person I knew and I was blessed to be fortunate enough to marry into her family.

MargieJensenMargie was born on December 7, 1928 to Thomas and Genevieve Baker. She was the third of eight children. The family lived in Teton Idaho where Grandpa Baker farmed. Although all of the siblings are close and have remained so throughout their lives, Margie was especially close to her two older sisters – Lucille and Helen. These three were the three musketeers and were always together. In fact, they were so close that on more than one occasion they dated the same boy. Helen would end up marrying her husband Clyde who had been dating Margie.

My love affair with photography began when I was in high school. I was fascinated with all types of cameras and the artistic freedom it provided. I had been involved with art since early childhood. My parents both encouraged me sending me to several art classes and seminars.

Family Newsletters

Each year as the family begins decorating for the holidays, I sit down to the computer and chronicle all of the events that occurred throughout the year.  These newsletters are sometimes humorous, sometimes shocking, and often times out of the ordinary.

Christmas Videos

In this age of computers and multimedia, it seems archaic to think a simple piece of paper with words printed on it could convey all the love we have for family and friends during the holiday season. For this reason we have begun to create a brief video Christmas card for those we love.

Site Evolution

This web site has gone through several metamorphoses. It began quite simply with just a static page but soon additional pages and content were added turning it into a web site rather than a web page. As the number of pages increased so did the time it took to maintain this site.
